Embroidered Collage

I stitched one trading card for each of the last two Take a Stitch Tuesday stitches.  Whipping and weaving is on the left and the basque stitch is on the right.  I use the first regularly and had never tried the second.  Fabric-covered peltex was not the best surface for the basque stitch, as it was too stiff to get small amounts of fabric through the needle as in the directions.  It was still fun to work with different weights of thread and see how the thicker and poofier the thread, the better the twist of the stitch showed up.
