Pekinese Stitch ATCs

pekinese.jpg

I had been intrigued by Pekinese stitch when Sharon taught it the Library of Stitches class, so when I joined a "Threadalicious" swap I chose to play with the stitch on a slightly larger scale, using perle cotton as the straight stitches and weaving in various yarns.  The backgrounds are leftover from one of the hand-decorated papers I had made for Melissa's swap.  I like this spaced out effect, where the background partially shows through the stitching.
