Embroidered Collage

I don't like to blog about current events.  I don't want to create art about them or inspired by them.  I prefer to leave them set aside from my writing.  But today I feel the need to acknowledge a connection.

I am a Virginia Tech alumni.

A little over ten years ago I had friends who lived in AJ and I attended the occasional class in Norris Hall. 

It could have happened ten years ago instead of yesterday. 

The university will live on, but without some of those who should have been there, who will not continue out of its doors to become alumni and enter into careers of their own.

The students and families and all affected by this tragedy have my condolences.

That is all that I wished to say.
