Compositional Exploration - Chopped Up

ATCs That didn't work nearly as well as I had hoped. I didn't pay any attention to where the cutting lines would fall while I was making the collage and many interesting elements ended up on edges or cut off in weird ways. Next time I need to either draw the lines on or keep them mentally in mind. Alternately, I could take a window to the composition and pick the most interesting pieces. I'd get fewer cards per sheet that way, but they might be better quality.
The next step was to play with my glazing medium and various acrylic paints. I really enjoyed this part, sometimes enhancing the color lines of the paper and sometimes distorting them. I only took one pass on each card. Eventually it would be interesting to do a set where I made multiple passes, letting it dry in between, and seeing how the layers of paint added up. Then I trimmed the 3"x4" pieces down to actual ATC size and stared at them for a bit.
I added pen drawings or enhancements to three of them. The results are interesting and they worked artistically, but they weren't quite what I'd been thinking about at the beginning. These are going to another swap at www.atcards.com .

I'm really not sure what to do with the other six cards. I'm sure I'll figure it out.
