Marbling Paper - The Process

Posted on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at 11:56AM by Registered CommenterBeth Robinson in | Comments3 Comments

Here are some photos of the marbling process.  Matt, my husband, thought they'd be neat to share and took them for me.  We start with my paints and my pattern tools, which are leftovers from a hair cutting kit that died.

This was really interesting - thanks for sharing. I've had one of those kits for ages - you've inspired me to give it a try!

I found the way your marbling color interesting. What do you use. My wife and I use thinned acrylics and they expand and spread rather than laying on the surface as yours do. What type of marbling color do you use and are you floating the colors on carraggenan thickened water?
